This year marks 30 years since Sophie Zelmani made her recording debut, but there’s no sign of her slowing down. Her new album, Lake Geneva—her 14th to date—will be released in April, and ahead of that, the single The Human Heart is out now. Alongside the single release, Sophie Zelmani is embarking on a major tour across Europe.
The new single, The Human Heart, marks the beginning of an exciting and intense musical year for her. Shortly after its release, she kicks off a Swedish tour, and in April, the highly anticipated album Lake Geneva will arrive, followed by an extensive European tour.
”Her music stems from an inner need to express herself through words and melody. That’s why she can look back on 175 released songs and, soon, her 14th album,” says her producer and arranger, Lars Halapi.
The Human Heart is a plea to someone in a dark place. The song’s message is that, while we are fundamentally alone, we can always reach out to help someone in pain.
